NICHOLAS O'NEILL - NEWS
Composition
Morgan Crowley performed Morning, Noon and Night (2006) at St. Paul's, Covent Garden, on the 3rd.
The choir of St. George's, Southwark will perform Mass For Men's Voices (2002) and Dominus Regit Me (2005) on the morning of the 7th.
The Blackheath Mass, for Ben Saul and the choir of All Saints, Blackheath, is finished. The first performance is now scheduled for 19th October.
A New Unison Mass was also completed during August. This is a congregational setting of the proposed new translation for the Catholic liturgy. Along with the Missa Seria, that makes three Masses written in the past year, a total of six in all.
I am currently working on some arrangements for a show in November, and planning to begin work on some new pieces once those are done.
Most of my works are now available for free in pdf format. If you'd like a copy of anything, drop me a line and I'll email it through.
Forthcoming Concerts
13th - Handel Messiah in Puycelsi, France.
JEBO
After much thought, I have decided to step down from JEBO. It was better to do this now rather than cause problems for the rest of the band later. I have headlined The Borderline (the only Cathedral organist in history to do so?), toured Europe, opened for Jethro Tull, Fish and Asia at a German rock festival, and supported It Bites. And made two great albums.
